Understanding Photography Basics
Remember this, anyone can take a photo, I was recently at an engagement party where the happy couple left those disposable cameras on all of the tables for everyone to commit the event on film. But by the time the evening was nearly over it was the kids that were using the cameras to take pictures of the ground, each other's noses and other random shots. No doubt once developed these pictures will get a couple of chuckles but these are not the kind of professional photos anyone would like for their long-term memories.

Photography Tips: 5 Tips For Amateur Photographers
1. Dump the Flash
While it’s true that professional photographers often do use a flash or complicated light rigs, you shouldn't need a flash in most lighting conditions. Subjects shot without a flash often look more natural, and you’ll get much greater detail and depth by using natural light. Additionally, ditching the flash for the first week or so will make you intimately familiar with how your camera works with light – an invaluable skill for the beginning photographer.

There are some really remarkable underwater digital cameras that also perform well for every day use, so there is no need to own two cameras. Tips For Taking Good Pictures Of Children
If you want to improve your pictures of children, here are a few tips and tricks that will help you get children pictures truly worth framing.
Usually the best pictures of children tend to be candid photos, but if you are taking a formal portrait, always practice with your camera first so you're ready.
When taking candid shots of children outdoors, use a zoom (preferably optical zoom) or a telephoto lens. This allows you to fade a bit into the background. The more noticeable you are taking pictures, the more likely the children will be silly or clam up making it hard to get a natural expression. Also be patient. Let them get used to you being there with your camera. Eventually they will relax.

About Canon Ef-s 10-22
I just got my new Canon EF-S 10-22 ultra-wide angle lens. This is one of the most popular lenses Canon, and is intended to "crop sensor" series DSLR. More about that later crop sernsor. My first thought after a few frames "Wow, this is very wide, it wrapps to My Block".
Question of the Day: Why shouuld I 10-22mm wide angle lens. I already have an EF-S 18-55 zoom, which came with the camera Cnon X1i. So what will I do with the extra 8mm width on wide angle shot. This 8mm similar to the football fielld, when I was shooting landscapes at a distance (well, maybe not quite the football field, but clodse).

Understanding The 3 Various Focus Modes On SLR Cameras
Single auto focus is a common function on just about every digital camera currently available. With this focus mode, you just press the shutter button half way or all the way down to automatically focus on the subject matter. This particular focus mode is most suited for taking photos of static objects that aren't shifting positions.

Choosing The Least Expensive SLR Digital Camera
The key point is surely an obvious one: determine what you are looking for. If you're a photographer and have to have only the state of the art slr digital camera, then you may want to glance over each camera’s specs so that you can identify which model and brand actually produces the internal processor required to satisfy your constant artistic demands. Alternatively, in case you are a homemaker and intend to acquire a slr digital camera for that sole purpose of loging all your family members history, the processor will not be the element that will make or break your final decision to buy. Alternatively, you are likely to desire a simple to operate user interface, built to offer rookies and/or amateur photographers the chance to briefly modify your pictures so that they can be printed from your pc at home, with the best clarity possible.

Basic Tips To Enhance Your Photographs
A steady shot
Most of the times the problem that arise for any photographer is with blurt shots. We can actually rectify this problem by using a tripod; most of the tripods are adjustable and can be easily accommodated with any kind of surface. Tripod is a necessity if you are shooting close ups or clicking night images, because of the slow shutter speed. But also we know that it is always difficult to carry a tripod. So the best option available is to hold your camera properly. Holding the camera with the two hands is usually the best option.

4 Tips To Taking Great Sunset Pictures
Tip #1 No matter where you are you will have to find out exactly when the sun sets in that area. You can do this by accessing a local weather site or tv channel. If you are unable to find one of these a good way to find out is simply to ask a local. They can typically tell you or at least give you a general idea. You’ll want to leave to your destination, whether it’s a beach, a hill or just a great spot to see it, with plenty of time to set up and watch it go down. I have rushed to catch some of the most phenomenal sunsets and missed them! You don’t want to do this!

Digital Photography. Do More Mega Pixels Mean Better Quality?
And what a truly wonderful piece of kit this camera is, like all cameras brandishing the Hasselblad brand previous, it oozes quality. The Rolls Royce of cameras, the standard that all other makers must follow etc etc etc... but I've no desire to write a review. The thing that has endlessly peeved me for some years now (and judging by the photographers I met at the event I'm not alone) is this apparent mega pixel race we all seem to unwittingly be transfixed in. This silly and down right deceptive obsession with the pixel count as a measure of the caliber of a camera and therefore the photographer.

Photography - The Rule Of Thirds
Believe it or not, we already think in terms of the Rule of Thirds even though we don’t realize it. Following this rule is important to get things going so to speak, taking pictures that are pleasing to the eye. If the view finder in your camera has a grid option this is specifically why it’s there, and it makes it easy. Otherwise you’ll have to imagine it. Imagine your viewfinder as a tic-tac-toe game, with horizontal and vertical lines.

Your Essential Lighting Tips For Wedding Photography
Tip 1: When to use natural light or flash photography?
If you are utilizing natural light you will depend on the Kelvin level to find out the temperature of light and consequently the colour of light. The colouring of light is essential to maintaining the colours you see around you. For example the warmer the light the redder the light will probably be, therefore you might need to choose the time period you'll go out and shoot the wedding photographs.

There are many digital lenses that enhance natural photography. Digital lenses with a fixed focal length work best in natural photography when the object is near to the photographer. The features will come out impeccable with no distortions. The Canon Wide Angle Lenses come with fixed focal lengths and also provide a wide angle to shoot the object. Fujifilm Fine Pix J28: The Truth About This Digital Camera
The Positives:
Cheaper than other cameras in the category, the camera offers a tad higher contrast and color saturation levels than the competition. Using the auto scene shot selection mode, I got pictures that were better looking than if I'd used some of the costlier entry-level cameras. Even the picture stabilization mode worked well, both indoors and outdoors, although I had to select it manually.

Taking Great Landscape Shots
Photography is about freezing a moment in time. You must make the most of the time that you have whilst you are out taking photos. If the weather is not right, use the time to explore the area, assess good viewpoints and work out what time of day will work best for the shot. Using a compass is invaluable in determining where the sun sets or rises, but remember that this changes with the seasons. Preparation and planning will help you to capture a successful photograph.
Composition
Keeping it simple and not cluttering the shot with too many elements is a good rule. By removing distractions from your photographs will help bring more prominence to your subject. It is also important to include some form of foreground interest, which may be your subject or it could be used to draw the eye towards the subject.
There is also a rule that will aid you in creating good composition, which is called the Rule Of Thirds. In photography, using this The Rule of Thirds keeps the main subject off centre, away from the middle of the frame. As a result, a photo looks more dynamic and interesting. Imagine your image divided into nine equal parts by two equally spaced horizontal lines and two equally spaced vertical lines. Placing your subject where any of the lines intersect will help in producing a well-balanced image. But sometimes rules are there to be broken as well!

Three Photography Marketing Secrets You Should Know
You and I are not professionally trained marketers. We don't have a Marketing degree from Harvard. No - we're professional photographers who love photography and basically hate marketing.
But, there are three photography marketing secrets you should know. These three secrets are life-changing, and no one has probably ever revealed them to you - until now.
Photography Marketing Secret #1: It's critical you create a huge demand for your "limited supply" and then control the volume of work you do with the price.
When I first started in photography, I didn't "get" this at all. I thought like this: "How much marketing do I need to do anyway? I'm just one person. How many clients can I possibly work with anyway? I'm small, so my marketing can be small."

Cash from Your Camera – Tips to Make Money from Food Photography
This is quite a difficult field to get into and possibly one of the most challenging and demanding areas of commercial photography. It is quite similar to fashion photography where you have a team of people involved in the shoot, from the chef to a food stylist and an art director. So the pressure is on to deliver. Here’s how to start.
You need to be able to get along with people and take direction. The client is the one who will give you the brief and expect you to create an image that is only in their mind. The ability to keep cool is essential and the ability to bite your tongue a great asset. Here’s how to shoot great food images.
